Haboh DJ Artist - Affiliations(Twilight Audio, KTUH)
It was early 1996 when Haboh began to buy his first records. He was living in his hometown, Los Angeles and had no intention on becoming a"DJ". He spent a lot of time going to hear his favorite headliners like Doc Martin, Mark Farina, Steve Loria and all the like. He soon realized there was no way around it, he began to play small gigs here and there for the next year or so. Then he finally got his big break. It was a loft party in Downtown with the headliner Miles Maeda, another one of his "idols". Before going on he was ready to chew his nails to the bone but shortly after a few songs he loosened up to take control of the room and never look back.
In late 1999, he then relocated to Oahu Hawai'i to a scene neglected of house music. He along with very few local djs and promoters then proceeded to push the music upon new ears. It took some time but they finally caught on. A few years later he now hosts a show with Ms. Angel(sisters in sound) devoted strickly to house music. In 2006 it was voted best KTUH show of the year which finally gave house music it's official acceptance in the islands. Today he has become one of the leading Djs in Hawai'i for house music.
In early 2001, he began to work with Twilight Audio doing weekly, monthly, and bimonthly gigs. His mixing abilities allowed him to be diverse with music genres and also with diverse crowds as well. His knowledge of Dj equipment then allowed him to branch out into the sound and lighting areas as well.
As most, the natural progression from a Dj to a Producer is the standard today. He took this on with the will and drive he put into his Djing as well. His goals are to have regular EP releases along with a record label based in Hawai'i. He feels in a world with mostly negative influences house music is one of the last concepts with a positive message behind it.
